St. Regis Hotels & Resorts celebrated the inaugural St. Regis Polo Cup, Sonoma last weekend at Wine Country Polo Club, Sonoma. St. Regis Connoisseur Nacho Figueras led the St. Regis polo team featuring Rafeael Hernandez, John Zeigler and Erik Wright, to victory against Hamel Family Wines with a final score of 7-5.
The charitable match took place in the heart of the majestic mountains surrounding Wine Country Polo Club and attracted glamourous guests including: Delfina Blaquier, Lily Kwong, Mary Alice Stevenson, Joy Bianchi, and Olga Dzilikhova among others.
Alongside the polo play, guests were treated to live Jazz music, a gourmet Argentine Asado, a number of Family Traditions experiences including Grape blending, as well as signature St. Regis Bloody Mary cocktails and exquisite wine tastings.
All proceeds from the silent auction, which featured luxurious packages at St. Regis hotels around the world, and a portion of ticket sales together raised nearly $40,000 to benefit Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center, a non-profit organization in Petaluma dedicated to enriching the lives of disabled children through the extraordinary benefits of therapeutic horse riding.
The event marked the first polo match supported by St. Regis on the West Coast of the USA and partnered with other likeminded brands including Hamel Family Wines, Restoration Hardware and Bentley.
